What is The ICT??

Actually, we use technology things in our life. For example computer, internet, television, radio and hand phone. Those things are part in ICT. We know ICT is Information and Communications Technologies. ICT are the computing and communications facilities and features that variously support teaching, learning and a range of activities in education especially in Unimap. ICT things give a lot help when lecturing process. I’m student Unimap know how important ICT things used in lecture class. When in lecture class, computer or laptop and LCD projector are used. ICT also used when take attendant to class. I touch my matrix card to matrix card scanner. This is ICT application in attendant management. ICT also are defined, for the purposes of this primer, as a “diverse set of technological tools and resources used to communicate, and to create, disseminate, store, and manage information”.

We know how computers and the Internet can best be harnessed to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of education at all levels and in both formal and non-formal settings. But ICT are more than just these technologies; older technologies such as the telephone, radio and television, although now given less attention, have a longer and richer history as instructional tools. For instance, radio and television have for over forty years been used for open and distance learning, although print remains the cheapest, most accessible and therefore most dominant delivery mechanism in both developed and developing countries (Malaysia). The use of computers and the Internet is still in its infancy in developing countries, if these are used at all, due to limited infrastructure and the attendant high costs of access.

What is The Mechatronic Engineering??

Honestly, I actually don’t know a lot about mechatronic engineering. Before I apply in Unimap, I just know mechatronic engineering is design and create robot. It is interesting course. I try to ask my friend (mechatronic student), he says mechatronic is mechanical, control systems, computer and mechanical. Actually, I ever learn mechanical subject at technic school (Sekolah Menengah Teknik Alor Setar). I’m mechanical student at that school. After I apply in Unimap, I learn a lot about engineering. I learn electric circuit, engineering drawing, computer programming, apply mechanic (mechanical), AutoCAD and others. Mechatronics is the combination of mechanical engineering, electronic engineering and software engineering. We can see in figure. The purpose of this interdisciplinary engineering field is the study of automata from an engineering perspective and serves the purposes of controlling advanced hybrid systems. The word itself is a portmanteau of 'Mechanics' and 'Electronics'.

Mechatronics is centred on mechanics, electronics and computing which, combined, make possible the generation of simpler, more economical, reliable and versatile systems. The portmanteau "Mechatronics" was first coined by Mr. Tetsuro Mori, a senior engineer of the Japanese company Yaskawa, in 1969. Mechatronics may alternatively be referred to as "electromechanical systems" or less often as "control and automation engineering".

Engineering cybernetics deals with the question of control engineering of mechatronic systems. It is used to control or regulate such a system; see control theory. Through collaboration the mechatronic modules perform the production goals and inherit flexible and agile manufacturing properties in the production scheme. Modern production equipment consists of mechatronic modules that are integrated according to a control architecture. The most known architectures involve hierarchy, polyarchy, heterarchy and hybrid. The methods for achieving a technical effect are described by control algorithms, which may or may not utilize formal methods in their design. Hybrid-systems important to Mechatronics include production systems, synergy drives, planetary exploration rovers, automotive subsystems such as anti-lock braking systems, spin-assist and every day equipment such as autofocus cameras, video, hard disks, CD-players, washing machines, etc.

A typical mechatronic engineering degree would involve classes in engineering mathematics, mechanics, machine component design, mechanical design, thermodynamics, circuits and systems, electronics and communications, control theory, programming, digital signal processing, power engineering, robotics and usually a final year thesis.

CAD

What is CAD?? CAD is Computer Aided Design .I ever learn little bit about AutoCAD when I study in technic school. I also learn CAD this time (AutoCAD subject). I learn how to use AutoCAD want to do two dimension(2D) and three dimension(3D) drawing. When we want to design something use computer, we use this software. CAD is used to design buildings and items. A popular CAD program is AutoCAD. CAD systems are high-speed workstations or desktop computers with CAD software. A graphics tablet is used for drawing, and a scanner may be attached for additional input. The output of a CAD system is either printed or electronically transmitted to a CAM system, which builds the objects. CAD software is available for generic design or specialized uses, such as architectural, electrical and mechanical. CAD software may also be highly specialized for creating products such as printed circuits and integrated circuits.
