Actually, we use technology things in our life. For example computer, internet, television, radio and hand phone. Those things are part in ICT. We know ICT is Information and Communications Technologies. ICT are the computing and communications facilities and features that variously support teaching, learning and a range of activities in education especially in Unimap. ICT things give a lot help when lecturing process. I’m student Unimap know how important ICT things used in lecture class. When in lecture class, computer or laptop and LCD projector are used. ICT also used when take attendant to class. I touch my matrix card to matrix card scanner. This is ICT application in attendant management. ICT also are defined, for the purposes of this primer, as a “diverse set of technological tools and resources used to communicate, and to create, disseminate, store, and manage information”.
We know how computers and the Internet can best be harnessed to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of education at all levels and in both formal and non-formal settings. But ICT are more than just these technologies; older technologies such as the telephone, radio and television, although now given less attention, have a longer and richer history as instructional tools. For instance, radio and television have for over forty years been used for open and distance learning, although print remains the cheapest, most accessible and therefore most dominant delivery mechanism in both developed and developing countries (Malaysia). The use of computers and the Internet is still in its infancy in developing countries, if these are used at all, due to limited infrastructure and the attendant high costs of access.
